About the Committee
Harrow Way Pre-school is an affiliate with the Charity Commission as an educational charity and are run by a voluntary Committee made up from family and associate members. The Harrow Way Pre-school Group is constituted by a Deed of Trust and became a registered charity on the 5th July 2012, number:1147960.
The Committee has to consist of the Chair, Treasurer, Secretary and at least 2 but no more than 9 other committee members. The Committee members must be at least 60% of parents whose children currently attend the Pre-school for it to remain open.
A list of committee members is displayed on the pre-school notice board. If your child is at pre-school and you would like to be on the Committee please speak to one of us… we’d love to hear from you!
The management of Harrow Way Pre-school is the responsibility of the whole Committee. This responsibility includes all aspects of the finance related to the setting, updating of policies and procedures, employment, recruitment, security checks, Health & Safety, marketing, risk assessments and ensuring appropriate memberships and insurances are in place.
