Harrow Way pre-school is a friendly, family orientated pre-school that has been established since 1977.

Harrow Way Pre-school is open to all children aged 2 years 9 months to 5 years old and predominately serve the local area and Andover surrounding areas.
Harrow Way Pre-school is operated by a management committee of volunteers who work within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Harrow Way Pre-school follow set policies and procedures to ensure we continue to operate legally and ethically.
Children join at different times throughout the year dependant on their age, stage and availability of places. If you would like to discuss the Group’s ability to meet your own child’s unique needs, please contact the Group Supervisor, Mrs Carol Ashurst.
Sessions run between 9.00am–12.00pm and 12.30pm–3.30pm, Monday to Friday inclusive except Tuesday afternoons, in School term-time.
Harrow Way Pre-school's playroom is a bright and welcoming facility and provides a very light, warm, secure and clean setting. There is disabled access to the building and the dedicated outdoor play area. There is a buzzer entry door system to the main door of the building in operation for security.
We have a cloakroom area, clean toilets, and a large bright playroom and outdoor play area. The playroom has ample space for the children to learn and play safely. We have a welcoming and stimulating snack-time area and routine where the children enjoy a balanced variety of healthy snacks and drink.
The outside play area proves very popular with the children! The area is fully secured with fencing all around it. There is a quite area for the children to chat to their friends or sit and read a book.
With the Pre-school being situated in the Harrow Way Community School we have access to use the school library facilities at the Community School for a part of a session each week where the children enjoy large group reading and discussions.
Harrow Way Pre-School works closely with Harrow Way Community School and Hampshire County Council from whom it rents the premises and associated facilities in which it provides Early Years education and Childcare. Harrow Way Pre-school is located within the grounds of Harrow Way Community School. The Pre-school shares the building with the Schools Flexible Learning Centre.
The object of Harrow Way Pre-school is to enhance the development and education of children under statutory school age by encouraging parents to understand and provide for the needs of their children through community groups and, specifically, to achieve this by the provision of pre-school playgroup places.
Harrow Way Pre-school operates an "open door" policy and parents and carers are welcome to visit the Group both in the morning or afternoon sessions. The staff are available to discuss your child's general development, provide support and information or for an informal chat.
Harrow Way Pre-school Group staff all possess recognised qualifications which are displayed on the main noticeboard.
Harrow Way Pre-school follows the SEN Code of Practice for children with special educational needs.
Harrow Way Pre-School is registered Charity status, is a member of the Pre-school Learning Alliance and has affiliations with other outside childrens education and care agencies. These agencies help us to understand and provide for the needs of all our children.
